Constitutive activity
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002473
The intrinsic activity of a receptor in the absence of any ligand binding, indicating that the receptor can elicit a biological response without external stimulation. This activity arises from the receptor's natural conformation and its ability to interact with downstream signaling pathways. It is often measured as a baseline response in experimental systems.
