Contact urticaria

A localized skin reaction characterized by the rapid appearance of wheals, erythema, and itching following direct contact with a specific substance. This immediate hypersensitivity response is mediated by mast cell degranulation and histamine release. Reactions can be immunologic, non-immunologic, or indeterminate, with symptoms appearing within minutes to an hour of exposure.
