Corrected emission spectrum

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002596

A luminescence emission spectrum that has been adjusted to account for wavelength-dependent variations in the response of the measurement system. The raw, or technical, spectrum is multiplied by a correction factor at each wavelength to remove instrumental artifacts caused by the monochromator's transmission efficiency and the detector's spectral sensitivity. This process yields a true spectrum representing the quantum exitance per unit wavelength interval, which is independent of the specific instrument used for the measurement.
