Corrected retention volume
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002598
The retention volume multiplied by the pressure gradient correction factor j, which compensates for the compression of the mobile phase along a gas chromatographic column. It differs from the adjusted retention volume, which subtracts the dead volume, because the corrected volume still contains the injector, detector and interstitial volumes, so it is of limited practical use.
