Liquid volume
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006685
The volume occupied by the liquid stationary phase in a chromatographic column, obtained as the mass of liquid in the column divided by its density at the column temperature. In gas-liquid chromatography it converts the net retention volume of a solute into a partition coefficient through K = VN / VL, where VL is this volume.
