Count median diameter

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002632

A statistical measure representing the diameter at which half of the particles in a sample are smaller and half are larger, when ordered by size. This value is less sensitive to extreme particle sizes compared to the count mean diameter. It is often used to characterize aerosol particle distributions.
