Data pre-processing
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002866
The manipulation and transformation of raw analytical data into a form suitable for subsequent analysis, modeling, or interpretation. These operations aim to correct for instrumental artifacts, remove irrelevant information, and prepare the data for a specific chemometric method. Common pre-processing steps include baseline correction, noise reduction, normalization, scaling, and mean centering.
