Dendron direction
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002997
For a constitutional repeating unit inside a dendron, the direction running from the dendron's single free valence outward toward its end groups. It gives each repeating unit a definite orientation, so that the structure of a dendron can be written and named unambiguously. By convention the preferred repeating unit is drawn so that its branch point sits at the end facing the end groups.
