Depilatory

A chemical agent or substance used to remove hair from the body by dissolving the protein structure of the hair shaft at or just below the skin surface. These products typically contain alkaline compounds, such as calcium thioglycolate. They offer a temporary hair removal solution, distinct from epilation which removes hair from the root.
