Differentiation antigen

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003181

A cell surface molecule whose expression is restricted to specific cell lineages or stages of cell development. These antigens serve as markers to distinguish different cell types and their maturational states. They are often used in flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry for cell identification and characterization.
