Diluter
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003217
An automated or mechanized device designed to accurately reduce the concentration of a sample or reagent by adding a specified volume of a solvent or diluent. It typically consists of one or more precision syringes or pumps that aspirate a defined volume of the concentrated liquid and then dispense it along with a larger, measured volume of the diluent. The dilution factor is determined by the ratio of the final volume to the initial sample volume.
