Dilute solution

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003216

A solution containing a relatively small amount of solute dissolved in a large amount of solvent. In such solutions, the interactions between solute molecules are negligible, and the properties of the solution are primarily determined by the solvent. Ideal dilute solutions obey Raoult's law for the solvent and Henry's law for the solute.
