Saturated solution
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010524
A solution that contains the maximum amount of solute that can be dissolved in a given amount of solvent at a specific temperature and pressure. In such a solution, the dissolved solute is in equilibrium with any undissolved solid solute. Adding more solute to a saturated solution will result in the undissolved solute remaining as a separate phase.
