Electro-optic parameter
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003769
A quantity used to interpret absolute infrared band intensities in a model that treats the dipole moment of a molecule as the vector sum of contributions from its bonds. In the original formulation the quantities are the equilibrium bond moments and the rates at which each bond moment varies with internal displacement coordinates, namely stretches and bends. A second, equivalent formulation uses equilibrium atomic charges and charge fluxes (ECCF).
