Electron number density

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003730

The number of free or quasi-free electrons contained within a unit volume of a substance, such as a plasma, semiconductor, or metal. It is a measure of the concentration of charge carriers responsible for electrical conductivity. The standard SI unit for electron number density is reciprocal cubic meters (m⁻³).
