Energy dispersion
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003920
The process by which a detector or spectrometer separates incident radiation or particles according to their kinetic energy. This allows for the simultaneous measurement of a range of energies, providing an energy spectrum. Energy dispersion is a fundamental principle in techniques like X-ray fluorescence and electron spectroscopy.
