Epimers

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004029

Stereoisomers that differ in configuration at only one stereogenic center, while being identical at all other stereogenic centers. These compounds are a type of diastereomer and are not mirror images of each other. For example, D-glucose and D-mannose are epimers at the C-2 carbon atom.
