Euglobulin

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004118

A class of proteins that are insoluble in distilled water but soluble in dilute salt solutions. These proteins precipitate from plasma or serum when the ionic strength is reduced, typically by dilution with water and acidification. Euglobulins include certain clotting factors and immunoglobulins, playing roles in blood coagulation and immune responses.
