Exit channel
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004208
A specific pathway on a potential-energy surface that leads from the transition state of a chemical reaction to a particular set of products. It describes the trajectory of atoms as they move away from the activated complex and form stable product molecules. Each distinct set of products corresponds to a unique exit channel.
