Exometabolome
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004214
The complete set of metabolites secreted or released by a cell, tissue, or organism into its external environment. These compounds can include waste products, signaling molecules, or nutrients that influence surrounding biological systems. Analysis of the exometabolome provides insights into metabolic processes and intercellular communication.
