Glomerular filtration rate

A measure of kidney function, representing the volume of fluid filtered from the glomerular capillaries into the Bowman's capsule per unit of time. It reflects the rate at which waste products are cleared from the blood. A normal adult human's rate is approximately 125 mL/min.
