H-2 complex
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005064
The major histocompatibility complex (MHC) found in mice, a cluster of genes on chromosome 17 that encode cell surface proteins involved in immune recognition. These proteins, known as H-2 antigens, present peptide fragments to T cells, initiating adaptive immune responses against pathogens and foreign substances. The H-2 complex is divided into Class I and Class II regions, each responsible for presenting different types of antigens.
