This technique correlates the chemical shifts of a heteronucleus (e.g., ¹³C or ¹⁵N) with protons that are coupled to it, and also with other protons within the same spin system. It provides information about both direct heteronuclear couplings and extended proton spin networks, often displayed as a 2D spectrum.",
