Histology

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005317

The scientific study of the microscopic structure of biological tissues and organs. This field involves preparing thin sections of tissue, staining them with specific dyes, and examining them under a microscope to observe cellular organization, tissue architecture, and pathological changes. Histology provides fundamental insights into normal physiological processes and the progression of diseases, often using techniques like hematoxylin and eosin staining.
