Histopathology

The microscopic examination of tissue to study the manifestations of disease. Tissue samples obtained through biopsy or autopsy are chemically fixed, processed into thin sections, stained, and then analyzed under a light or electron microscope. This analysis reveals cellular changes and structural abnormalities, forming a basis for diagnosis in toxicology and clinical medicine.
