Golgi staining
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004962
A histological staining method that impregnates individual neurons with silver chromate, allowing for the visualization of their complete morphology, including dendrites and axons. This technique selectively stains a small percentage of neurons in a tissue sample, making it possible to study their intricate structures in detail. The method was developed by Camillo Golgi in 1873.
