Chromate uptake assay
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002038
An immunotoxicology method that quantifies how a substance harms leukocytes by counting the chromium-51-labelled chromate the cells take up. It differs from the chromium release assay, in which target cells are loaded with chromium-51 first and the radioactivity lost into the medium when they are lysed is counted.
