Gonadotropic

Relating to substances that influence the function of the gonads, which are the testes in males and the ovaries in females. This action includes stimulating the production of gametes and the secretion of sex hormones. The principal endogenous gonadotropic substances are the pituitary glycoproteins, luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH).
