Tetramer staining
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011906
A laboratory technique used to identify and quantify antigen-specific T lymphocytes by employing soluble major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules complexed with specific peptides. These MHC-peptide complexes are multimerized into tetramers and conjugated to a fluorochrome. The stained cells are then detected and analyzed using flow cytometry.
