Peptide tetramer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013380
A reagent made of four biotinylated peptide-MHC complexes held together by one fluorescently labelled streptavidin molecule, which has four biotin-binding sites. The multivalent complex binds with high avidity to T cell receptors that recognise that peptide presented by that MHC molecule. In flow cytometry, tetramer staining identifies and counts antigen-specific T cells in a blood sample.
