Homodetic cyclic peptide

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005358

A cyclic peptide in which the ring structure is formed exclusively by peptide bonds between amino acid residues. All atoms in the backbone of the cyclic portion are part of the peptide chain. This contrasts with heterodetic cyclic peptides, which may include other types of linkages.
