A three-dimensional triple-resonance NMR experiment for 13C,15N-labelled proteins that correlates the amide 1H and 15N shifts of a residue with the alpha carbon shift of the same residue and, more weakly, of the preceding residue. It is used for sequential backbone resonance assignment, usually together with HN(CO)CA, which gives only the preceding alpha carbon.
