CBCA(CO)NH/HN(CO)CACB

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001758

A three-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiment used to assign backbone resonances in proteins. It correlates the chemical shifts of the Cα and Cβ carbons of one residue with the amide proton and nitrogen of the subsequent residue, via a carbonyl carbon. This technique is particularly effective for larger proteins where spectral overlap is a concern.
