Cavity dumping
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001757
A technique used in laser physics to extract a short, high-intensity pulse of light from a laser resonator. This is achieved by rapidly switching the output coupling of the laser cavity from a low-loss state to a high-loss state. The accumulated energy within the cavity is then released in a single, intense burst.
