Hold-up time
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005332
The time required for an unretained component to pass through a chromatographic column from the point of injection to the detector. This value represents the time taken by the mobile phase to traverse the column. It is a fundamental parameter in chromatography, often denoted as tM or t0, and is used to calculate retention factors.
