Electro-osmotic hold-up time

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003772

The time required for an uncharged marker molecule to travel from the injection end to the detection end of a capillary in an electro-osmotic flow system. This measurement provides a direct indication of the electro-osmotic flow rate within the capillary. It is a key parameter for characterizing the performance of capillary electrophoresis separations.
