Hydrometeor
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005475
An atmospheric particle composed of liquid water or ice that is formed through condensation or deposition of water vapor. These particles can be suspended in the air, such as in clouds or fog, or fall towards the Earth's surface. Hydrometeors that fall are classified as precipitation and include rain, snow, sleet, and hail, distinguished by their physical state and formation process.
