Hyphenated mass spectrometry technique

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005536

An analytical method that combines a separation technique directly with a mass spectrometer for enhanced analytical capabilities. The separation component, such as gas chromatography or liquid chromatography, separates complex mixtures before the individual components are introduced into the mass spectrometer for identification and quantification. This integration provides both chromatographic resolution and molecular structural information.
