Thin layer chromatography-mass spectrometry

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012001

An analytical technique that couples thin layer chromatography (TLC) directly with mass spectrometry (MS). After separation on the TLC plate, compounds are typically extracted from the plate or desorbed directly into the mass spectrometer for identification and quantification. This hyphenated technique provides both separation and structural information.
