Immunological memory
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005686
The ability of the adaptive immune system to remember previous encounters with specific antigens, leading to a faster, stronger, and more effective response upon subsequent exposure. This phenomenon is mediated by long-lived memory B and T lymphocytes. Vaccination relies on the induction of immunological memory.
