Indirect amplification
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005776
A kind of amplification reaction in which the substance to be determined is bound up with a second constituent, and it is that second constituent which is amplified and finally measured. The signal therefore reflects the analyte only through its association with the amplified partner. It contrasts with direct amplification, in which the substance to be determined is itself amplified and measured.
