Indirect exposure
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005779
Exposure to a substance that occurs through an intermediate pathway rather than direct contact with the primary source. This can involve exposure through contaminated food, water, or air, where the substance has been transferred from its original source. For instance, consuming fish that have accumulated mercury from the environment constitutes indirect exposure.
