Interatomic Auger process
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005925
An Auger process where the initial core hole is filled by an electron from an adjacent atom, and the Auger electron is also emitted from that adjacent atom. This phenomenon involves electron transitions between different atoms within a molecule or solid. It provides information about the chemical environment and bonding between atoms.
