Intrinsic emission
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006029
The light or radiation emitted directly by a substance itself, as opposed to emission that is induced or modified by external factors or impurities. This phenomenon arises from the inherent electronic transitions within the material's atoms or molecules. It is a characteristic property of a pure substance and is often studied in spectroscopy.
