Isoentropic

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006184

Relating to a chemical reaction or a set of reactions for which the entropy of activation is the same. This condition implies that the transition states of the compared reactions have similar degrees of molecular order or disorder relative to their respective reactants. A series of reactions exhibiting this property will show a linear relationship between enthalpy of activation and Gibbs energy of activation.
