Isolampsic point
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006195
A specific wavelength in a series of luminescence spectra where the luminescence intensity of two or more species is identical. This point indicates that the total concentration of the luminescent species remains constant throughout a reaction or titration. The presence of an isolampsic point suggests a simple equilibrium between two components or a reaction with a fixed stoichiometry.
