Isooptoacoustic point
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006210
A specific wavelength or frequency in a series of optoacoustic spectra where the optoacoustic signal of two or more species is identical. This point indicates that the total concentration of the absorbing species remains constant throughout a reaction or titration. The presence of an isooptoacoustic point suggests a simple equilibrium between two components or a reaction with a fixed stoichiometry.
