Isomerism

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006204

The phenomenon where two or more compounds possess the same molecular formula but exhibit different arrangements of atoms in space. This difference in atomic connectivity or spatial orientation results in distinct chemical and physical properties for each isomer. Isomerism is broadly categorized into structural isomerism and stereoisomerism.
