Knockout mouse

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006374

A genetically engineered mouse in which a specific gene has been inactivated or deleted from its genome. This allows researchers to study the function of the targeted gene by observing the phenotypic changes in the mouse. These models are widely used in biomedical research to understand human diseases and gene function.
