Lactims
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006417
Cyclic imidic acids, which are tautomers of lactams. They contain a cyclic structure with a carbon-nitrogen double bond within the ring and a hydroxyl group attached to the carbon of the imine. This tautomeric form is generally less stable than the corresponding lactam, which contains a cyclic amide group.
